Getting Started

Initial Consult and Initial Training Session

In the initial consult we will assess you and your dog’s needs for the purpose of creating a customized training program. No two dogs are alike nor are the relationships people have with their dogs. During our first meeting, I will observe you and your dog interacting as well as your dog’s individual behavior. The reward based positive training method will be explained as well as how your dog learns. Some initial training exercises will be demonstrated and then you will be helped in training your dog during those exercises. I will provide you with a comprehensive evaluation and make recommendations for a customized training program to meet the needs of you and your dog.

** Doggie Matchmaker™ Program (under Choosing a Dog tab is an exception)

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.
